Septembre de la photo 2007: notes about Armenia |

| This month Le Théâtre de la Photographie and the l’Image Charles Nègre present an annual exhibition “September of Photography”, this time dedicated to Armenian photographers. The exhibition is organised within the year of Armenia in Nice, which has just come to an end. It is opened September 13th – November 18th and throws the light on works by several Armenian artists. The first, Patrick Artinian, covered such topics as an earthquake in Armenia and war in Yugoslavia. Ruben Mangasaryan organised his own agency, Patker Photo in Erevan (in 1990s) and is known as a photography teacher. Karen Mirzoyan is known for his series of portraits of children released in 2005. And, finally, Max Sivaslian is renowned for his photos of war in Karabakh. The exhibition will help you gain deeper understanding of what Armenia is. |
