Marc Chagal, Monsters, dreams and hybrid images |
 |
| A temporary exhibition at Musée Marc Chagall, Nice is called “Marc Chagal, Monsters, dreams and hybrid images.” The exhibition is opened till October 29th, 2007 and is focused on mythical objects in Chagall’s works. The French painter (who, by the way, had a Russian-Jewish origin) used lots of mysterious images, such as semi-man and semi-animal creatures, flying fantastic animals and simply lots of symbolic objects. But what do these images mean? The exhibition will help you find that out. They probably have a religious and traditional basis, connected with the painter’s origin and native traditions. Or maybe they are a part of some symbolic system? Learn more at the exhibition! |
