La Nuit des Musees |

| Every year for one night in spring – called La Nuit des Musees or The Night of Museums, French museums open their doors to visitors. The initiative to organize the event belongs to the French Department of Culture and was first brought into life in 2005, when some 1000 museums all over France were available for attending. This year, the night is on May 19th and just like many other cities in France, Nice will celebrate the event. All the Nice museums will be opened from 7 p.m. Some of the most popular Nice museums are: Natural History Museum, Archaeological Museum of Cimiez, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Fine Arts Museum Jules Cheret, Museum of the Lascaris Palace and some others. |
