La Castellada at Parc du Château |

| The end of July is the time when Parc du Château in Nice is filled with historic atmosphere and the spirit of entertainment. July 25th – September 1st the park becomes a venue for La Castellada festival, celebrated with wonderful medieval and Baroque music as well as puppet shows for the little ones. Those who wish to discover more on the history of the city can take part in three-hour walks guided by actors dressed in clothes of the time. Built in 1821, the garden is a wonderful venue for the event, not only for its historical past, but also for wonderful views over the Baie des Anges and the Promenade des Anglais, seen from the hill. Participation is chargeable. |
